6th MeBattery Progress Meeting held in St. Ingbert, Germany
From 8–9 April, the MeBattery consortium convened for its sixth progress meeting in St. Ingbert, Germany, hosted by project partner EURICE – European Research and Project Office GmbH. Over two productive days, representatives from across the consortium shared updates on the ongoing development of the biphasic redox flow battery prototype, engaged in detailed discussions, and worked through open questions. On the second day, discussions focused on the future – covering exploitation and sustainability planning of the project’s outcomes.
In addition to the working sessions, the team took time to film interviews with several project partners, highlighting the innovative work being done. The interviews covered:
- major achievements and findings within the different working groups
- insights into advanced electrochemical techniques, biphasic systems, as well as strategies to increase energy density and efficiency
- the potential impact of the MeBattery prototype on future energy storage technologies and real-world applications
- learnings from challenges and unexpected outcomes
Outside the meeting room, participants also got to enjoy a relaxed dinner with traditional Saarland dishes. The warm, sunny weather over the two days added to the good mood and made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
