Ruhr-University Bochum at Electrochemistry 2024
Under the topic of “Global Thinking Local Acting”, the Electrochemistry 2024 conference, organised by the German Chemical Society (GDCh), took place in Braunschweig on 16-19 September 2024.
The team of Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) took the opportunity to participate with two contributions:
- Poster presentation “Scanning electrochemical microscopy for addressing relevant challenges in membrane-free redox flow batteries” presented by Carla Santana Santos. The poster was a joined endeavour by MeBattery partners RUB, IMDEA Energy and Burgos University
- Oral presentation “Unveiling Micro-electrochemistry Performance of Solid Materials for Mediated-Redox Flow Battery” given by Nomnotho Sphumelele Jiyane from RUB. The content of the presentation covered work from RUB as well as IST Austria and Burgos University
With more than 500 participants from Germany and abroad, the bi-annual conference gave electrochemists the opportunity to discuss latest trends and learnings among their peers. Parallel sessions covered nearly all topics of electrochemistry from fundamental science to technical applications.
