Universidad de Burgos

The University de Burgos (UBU) is a medium-sized public university located in Burgos, Castilla y León (Spain). Established in 1994, UBU is a young university with over 8,100 students at 7 centres. Among its strategic objectives are internationalization and quality in education, research and knowledge transfer. UBU has 87 research groups in five main research fields (Sciences, Social sciences, Engineering-Construction, Humanities & Health sciences) with consolidated prestige in research and scientific publications. According to BBVA's Foundation U-Ranking 2020, UBU ranks sixth among the 84 Spanish universities for its research and innovation performance indicators.

Role within MeBattery

UBU coordinates the MeBattery project, having 3 interdisciplinarity research groups involved which provide expertise in toxicity, life cycle analysis, organic synthesis, electrochemistry and battery prototyping.
